The larvae are 4–5mm "woolly bears", striped brown and cream, often curled against the skirting. You'll spot tiny holes in wool rugs, faint trails through pile, and brown shed casings collecting under bookshelves. Adults are 2–3mm and look like ladybird-shaped specks on the windowsill.
